- AgroMax Pure UV is the industry's most advanced supplemental ultraviolet grow lamp, with 15x more power than other types of UV lamps.
It is widely accepted that supplementing with UV-B light can have desirable effects in the phenolic compounds, flavonoid pigments, resins, oils, etc. of many plants.
Constructed using advanced phosphors and highly-specialized glass, AgroMax Pure UV lamps emit 75% UV-B, 25% UV-A and a very slight amount of visible light.
This robust supplemental UV output provides the means to achieve such sought after qualities through a plants own natural processes and without the use of chemicals. -
UV light is measured in micro-watts per square centimeter (µW/cm²), and
depending on global region, time of year, and hour of the day, naturally
occurring
UV-B levels can be upwards of 400 µW/cm².
Please note that p
ure or hybrid strains of plants that are native to areas with lower exposure to natural UV light will have different reactions to supplemental UV light than those from areas with higher UV levels.
AgroMax Pure UV output levels will be effected by 3 primary factors; number of lamps used, distance between the lamp(s) and plant(s), and efficiency of the light fixture power supply & reflector.

Overexposure to UV light can be harmful to both humans and plants. Proper protective eye-wear and long-sleeve clothing is necessary when working with AgroMax Pure UV lamps. When supplementing gardens with AgroMax Pure UV, it is best to begin with the lamp placed further away from the plants and to run it for shorter periods. -
